Forensic Linguistics

In our motion graphics project, my wife and I embarked on a unique noir-style journey into forensic linguistics. Through a blend of 2D, 3D, and Generative AI, we aimed to create an engaging and informative explainer for linguistics majors. Our storyline, centered around a stolen sandwich and featuring a detective protagonist, is brought to life with a striking black and white style accentuated by carefully chosen colors. The gloomy music sets the mood for this captivating tale, and the entire storyboarding process was a collaborative effort. We're thrilled with the outcome, which strikes the balance between entertainment and education, offering linguistics enthusiasts a glimpse into the intriguing world of forensic linguistics and the possibilities that await them after their studies.
